Weekly Bible lesson from John Chapter Three – Let God's Word grow on you
1When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. 2And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 3And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. – Matthew 8:1-2
Have you had cancer, or do you have cancer now? We help people cope with the physical, emotional, and spiritual effects of the disease.
Cancer starts in the body long before you are aware of it. The subsequent treatment runs down the body and places an enormous load on the individual, who often feels tired or completeley drained. Still, life continues and to go on needs courage.
The emotional aspect of cancer can be hard to handle. The question many ask is often "Why me?". Seeing how deadly cancer can be, most people believe they are going to die as well. This is not true. Cancer can be beaten, and many people today can testify that they have overcome.
You may ask why this had to happen to you and what God's plan is in all of this. "Why me?" is the question we hear the most. Difficult as it may be to hear this, God's response could be "Why not you?". God has a plan for your life, and His glory will be revealed in every circumstance. You are the vessel He uses.
